Job Summary
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for developing and executing the bank’s technology
strategy to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. This role ensures the
secure, scalable, and efficient use of technology to enhance financial services, improve customer
experience, and maintain regulatory compliance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and implement the bank’s technology strategy to align with business objectives.
2. Oversee IT infrastructure, digital banking platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
3. Drive innovation in financial technology, digital products, and automation to enhance customer
experience.
4. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data security policies, and risk management
frameworks.
5. Lead the digital transformation agenda, including the adoption of AI, blockchain, and cloud
computing.
6. Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and technology investments to optimize operational
efficiency.
7. Collaborate with business leaders to integrate technology into banking products and services.
8. Develop and maintain a high-performing technology team, fostering continuous learning and
innovation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a
related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in IT leadership, digital banking, or financial technology
roles.
• Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) or
the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) is an advantage.
• Certifications in IT governance, cybersecurity, or cloud computing (e.g., CISA, CISSP, AWS, ITIL,
PMP) are preferred.
