Job Summary

The Business Development Executive is responsible for acquiring new customers, expanding distribution channels, developing business partnerships, and driving sales of microinsurance products. The role focuses on increasing insurance penetration among low-income earners, SMEs, informal sector workers, cooperatives, and underserved communities while supporting the company’s growth and financial inclusion objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Business Acquisition and Sales

• Generate new business opportunities and sales leads.
• Sell the company’s microinsurance products to individuals, groups, and institutions.
• Meet and exceed assigned premium income, enrollment, and revenue targets.
• Conduct prospecting activities through field visits, referrals, and digital channels.
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

2. Partnership Development

• Maintain productive relationships with partners to maximize business volumes.
• Support the negotiation and implementation of partnership agreements.

3. Market Development and Awareness

• Organize product presentations, roadshows, community engagements, and awareness campaigns.
• Educate prospective customers on the value of insurance and risk protection.
• Promote insurance literacy among underserved populations.
• Represent the company at industry and community events.

4. Customer Relationship Management

• Build long-term relationships with clients and business partners.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and policy retention rates.
• Assist customers with policy enrollment and claims guidance.

• Ensure proper documentation and policy issuance processes.

Requirements:

A degree in any discipline with 2-3years sales experience in Fintech, Co-operative, Microfinance or Microinsurance Institution.
