Job Objective:
Development of strategy-led products and corporate brand marketing concepts to create a niche and build equity for the Microfinance bank in the sub-sector to increase product patronage, corporate brand positioning, and top-of-mind awareness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and analysis of a variety of marketing information, including market trends, pricing schedules, competitor offerings, product specifications, consumer behaviors, and demographic data.
- Works with products and service process owners to develop go-to-market winning strategies for delivering on the products’ marketing objectives.
- Identifies the appropriate media channels where each product or service’s marketing materials can be cost-effectively delivered to the public.
- Involves in the New Product Development (NPD) process, and enforces brand marketing guidelines throughout each product lifecycle to ensure the product is relevant at each phase.
- Provides expert direction and insight to marketing staff members throughout each project or campaign.
- Acts as a go-to resource for up-to-date, accurate research and market information.
- Tracks marketing strategy results closely and creates detailed reports with data analysis and other feedback.
- Adjusts marketing plans as needed in response to data-tracking efforts.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders i.e. strategy, customer experience management, retail banking, operations, and e-channels to co-create an omnichannel experience.
Key Performance Indicators:
- The existence of a robust product and services marketing strategy and plan.
- Quality and timeliness of go-to-market with product and service offerings.
- Quality, volume, and frequency of research report.
- Timeliness and quality internal product knowledge information dissemination.
- Number of new ideas provided, accepted, and implemented.
- Key competition insights and adoption of new thinking.
- Increase in the number of e-products adopted and accounts opened.
Job Requirements:
- A First degree in Marketing, Business Administration, and related courses (Additionally, professional qualifications in marketing, strategy, and business analysis).
- Minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
- Understanding of the nature and dynamics of policy impact on the business environment.
- Hands-on Sales and marketing knowledge.
- Critical and practical knowledge of digital and social media marketing and engagement.
- Data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programmes (Excel &PowerPoint ) and other packages
- Great interpersonal skills.
