Job Summary
A leading Microfinance Bank in Maryland, Lagos is seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies for its products and corporate brand.
The successful candidate will drive brand positioning, increase product adoption, enhance market visibility, and ensure strong top-of-mind awareness within the microfinance sector. This role requires strong analytical capability, digital marketing expertise, and leadership skills to deliver measurable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis, including competitor review, pricing trends, consumer behavior, and demographic insights.
  • Design and implement go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.
  • Identify and manage cost-effective media channels for campaigns and product promotions.
  • Participate in New Product Development (NPD) and ensure brand consistency throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead and provide direction to marketing team members across campaigns and projects.
  • Track campaign performance, analyze data, and provide detailed reports with actionable insights.
  • Adjust marketing strategies based on performance metrics and market feedback.
  • Collaborate with Strategy, Retail Banking, Operations, Customer Experience, and Digital Channels teams to deliver a seamless omnichannel customer experience.

  • Development and execution of robust marketing plans.
  • Successful and timely go-to-market delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional professional certifications in Marketing, Strategy, Business Analysis, or Innovation will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience in marketing, preferably within financial services or a regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and policy impact on the business environment.
  • Hands-on sales and marketing expertise.
  • Strong data analysis, interpretation, and reporting skills.
  • Practical knowledge of digital and social media marketing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant tools.
