About the Organization

Our client is a highly diversified investment group with subsidiaries operating across Healthcare, Technology, Finance, Insurance, Leasing, Health Maintenance (Health Insurance), Education, and Printing. The Group is committed to building each subsidiary into a market leader within its sector and is seeking a dynamic and visionary Managing Director to drive this mandate.

Role Summary

The Managing Director will provide strategic leadership for the formulation and execution of growth strategies across the Group’s subsidiaries. This role is critical to identifying and developing new investment opportunities while ensuring operational excellence and strong corporate governance. The Managing Director will report directly to the Group CEO.

Key Responsibilities

A. Strategy

• Develop and drive the Group’s overall business strategy.

• Support subsidiaries in formulating and executing their business plans.

• Periodically review Group goals and assess the effectiveness of implementation strategies.

B. Business Development & Growth

• Ensure effective execution of the Group’s growth strategy.

• Identify and evaluate investment and business opportunities across multiple sectors.

• Lead initiatives to establish new businesses and expand the Group’s portfolio.

• Drive brand management and corporate relations to enhance Group visibility and reputation.

C. Financial & Operational Performance

• Provide budgetary and financial management frameworks to support subsidiaries.

• Support strategic product development initiatives across subsidiaries.

• Develop and implement performance measurement metrics for the Group and its businesses.

D. Governance & Leadership

• Ensure sound corporate governance practices across all Group entities.

• Provide leadership development and capacity-building support for subsidiary management teams.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Master’s degree (MBA preferred).

• Professional certifications such as ACCA, ACA, and/or CFA are an added advantage.

• Strong analytical and business analysis capabilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven experience in Group or portfolio management, at least at middle management level.

• Demonstrated experience in business portfolio and investment management.

• Executive/top management position.
