Loan Officer (LO)

JOB OBJECTIVE/SUMMARY:

·         Selling loan products effectively.

·         Carry out clients KYC, eligibility and loan appraisal.

·         To ensure continuous growth and healthy portfolio management.

·         Ensure that set targets are met within allotted time frame

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Marketing of loan product as applicable to role.

2.    Interviewing and carrying out of KYC on clients

3.    Prepare loan documents for clients to fill.

4.    Verify and appraise clients and guarantors’ business.

5.    Submit loan proposal for possible approval Credit committee.

6.    Proper documentation and filing of loan documents

7.    Follow up on client repayment.

8.    Follow up and monitoring of the loan performance after disbursement.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

i.      Ability to mobilize new clients as relative to target.

ii.     Number of borrowers relative to target.

iii.    Volume of loan disbursement and revenue generated relative to target.

iv.   Portfolio at risk (PAR) >1 day not more not more than 1%

v.    Growth in number of borrowers as relative to target.

vi.   Portfolio growth in relation to target.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to:   Branch Coordinator

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:  ND or NCE.
