Job Objective:

The Information Technology Officer is responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the secure and efficient operation of all technology systems. This role involves managing IT projects, supporting users, and implementing technology solutions that align with business goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the hard and soft IT infrastructure of the company.
  • Explore technology to create strong awareness of the company’s brand through social media, and other platforms.
  • Work with partners and other service providers to implement an END-to-END technology process for sales of company products online.
  • Maintenance of the company’s website.
  • Influence and partner with businesses to understand business strategies. Interacts regularly with Business Partners, Agents, and other Intermediaries to ensure their needs are understood and IT updates are communicated consistently.
  • Analyze business processes; elicit analysis and document business requirements.
  • Identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and make recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing IT technology components.
  • Possess an excellent understanding of the business process strategy for the Microinsurance Model.
  • Identify information and technology capabilities required to support the business process and collaborate those capabilities in the development of information management strategies and developing them as an integrated part of the business strategy.
  • Identify industry trends and make recommendations on how to enhance the existing business processes.
  • Communicate business requirements and perform business process mapping.
  • Manage information and technology Projects and ensure that implementation activities are established per project with suppliers.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and per defined requirements, in line with service levels.
  • Have a sound knowledge of information technology requirements to grassroots within the Microinsurance Business Models.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and Training with business teams, as required, per project.
  • Stay aware of evolving regulatory, legal, and economic impacts for Microinsurance Global Marketing.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
  • Relative knowledge of coding and software development will be an added advantage.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/related course in software development.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business analysis and solution delivery.
  • Relative knowledge of coding and software development will be an added advantage.
  • Insurance Experience would also be an added advantage.
