Job Summary
Our client, a reputable HR Consulting Firm based in Ikeja, Lagos, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive growth through effective business development and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an established network of business connections, and proven experience in selling HR and outsourcing services.
The role involves directing, coordinating, and executing business development and marketing activities in line with the company’s policies, goals, and objectives, while supporting the leadership team in achieving overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute effective business development strategies, including targeting, prospecting, and presenting compelling business proposals.

Support all business development initiatives, meetings, and activities.

Research and gather detailed background information on prospective clients, including market trends, competitors, and key decision-makers.

Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and support market positioning strategies.

Generate new clients and expand business opportunities with existing clients.

Build and maintain profitable, long-term client relationships through marketing and cross-selling of HR services.

Proactively engage prospects through cold calls, networking events, and social media platforms.

Collaborate with internal teams to effectively service client accounts.

Provide regular updates and performance reports to management.

Demonstrate high energy, enthusiasm, and a strong drive to win new business for the company.
Requirements & Qualifications

HND/BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in business development or related roles, with proven experience in selling HR and outsourcing services.

Strong understanding of diverse industries, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.

Must possess an existing portfolio of clients or an active business network.

Excellent relationship management, networking, and interpersonal skills.

Strong communication, adaptability, and negotiation skills.

Results-oriented mindset with the ability to generate new business within the first three months of employment.
