Job Title: Driver (HMO)

Location: Uselu, Benin City, Edo State

Salary: ₦180,000 – ₦200,000

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to provide safe, efficient, and timely transportation services for a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO). The role involves transporting staff and management, delivering official documents, and ensuring proper care and maintenance of assigned company vehicles in compliance with road safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport management and staff to official meetings, hospitals, corporate clients, and other business locations.

  • Deliver and collect official documents, ID cards, claims files, and other assigned materials.

  • Ensure punctual pickup and drop-off of staff and items as scheduled.

  • Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean, functional, and roadworthy condition at all times.

  • Conduct daily vehicle checks including fuel, oil, water, brakes, lights, and tyres.

  • Report mechanical issues, accidents, or damages promptly to the Admin/Operations unit.

  • Ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained according to schedule.

  • Observe all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.

  • Ensure vehicle documents (insurance, roadworthiness certificate, vehicle license, etc.) are valid and up to date.

  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.

  • Assist with office errands, courier services, and logistics support when required.

  • Maintain confidentiality of company information, staff movements, and sensitive documents.

  • Support administrative and operational tasks as assigned.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.

  • Valid Nigerian Driver’s License.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ driving experience, preferably in a corporate, healthcare, or HMO environment.

  • Good knowledge of Benin City and surrounding routes.

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to read and write basic English.

  • High level of honesty, responsibility, and professionalism.
